The outdoors came indoors for this outdoor camping style theme event. When our corporate client approached us about their needs for this sales conference we were overjoyed to use some of the outdoor camping theme décor that we have and get into this fun, creative theme. For this event, it was all about utilizing the space. The event took place at F.I.G. Dallas, which is a fashion house warehouse style venue located right in Downtown Dallas. This venue already has a cool contemporary style about it, so it was all about blending that with the outdoor feel we were trying to create.
To accomplish this look, we brought in over 200ft of astroturf carpeting, over a dozen ferns and tall juniper trees, faux boulder props, rustic Adirondack chairs, hanging greenery garlands, several dozen tree stumps, and greenery centerpieces. We also provided staging and created custom monitor covers for two large screens that would be displayed in the main theater style meeting space. It was a lot going on in the space, but it all really came together beautifully.
Several people asked us how we constructed the centerpieces to look so natural. We took a variety of tree stumps in varying shapes and sizes to use as our base. On top of that we took baby ferns that had been taken out of their pots and trimmed down to fit inside small plastic bags. This way the ferns could still retain moisture so they would last, but still be malleable enough for us to work with on our tree stumps. We then covered the outer portion of the bag with fresh moss and arranged in on each stump for the finished look. Having this pop of greenery throughout the space really finished off the look!
